Job Description:

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS) is currently seeking a proactive and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Store Keeper. If you are results-oriented and ready to embark on a challenging career in a humanitarian organization, we invite you to apply.

Store Keeper Qualifications and Experience

• Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level.
• Diploma or Higher Professional Qualification in Stores Management, Logistics Management, Warehousing and Stock Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a similar capacity.

Store Keeper Responsibilities: (General)

• Organize, arrange, and safely store goods following established procedures.
• Systematically monitor existing stocks, incoming supplies, and dispatches while maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
• Implement accepted and standard inventory control methods, ensuring efficient reconciliation.
• Maintain proper standards for health and safety, hygiene, and security within the premises.
• Uphold strong ethical standards with a high level of accountability, transparency, and integrity.
• Utilize MS Office for effective data management and reporting.
• Communicate effectively in oral and written English, Sinhala/Tamil.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of humanitarian, community, and volunteer-based service interventions.
• Adhere to SLRCS management guidelines and procedures as a quick learner.
• Work as a team player, self-motivated, and capable of operating under challenging circumstances.
• Abide by and work according to Red Cross and Red Crescent Fundamental Principles.

Employment Details:

The appointment will be on a fixed-term contract basis, and the SLRCS conducts its general administrative and operational affairs in the English language. Only short-listed applicants will be called for interviews.
