Job Description: Debt Collector

We are seeking result-oriented and self-motivated individuals with exceptional integrity and competence to join our team as Debt Collectors. As a Debt Collector, you will be responsible for effectively managing and collecting outstanding debts owed to the organization. This is a challenging role that requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and meet targets.

Qualifications:

1. External Candidates:
• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) examination in six subjects in one sitting with credit passes for four subjects, including Sinhala Tamil, English language, and Mathematics.
• Passed three subjects (other than the General Paper) at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination.
2. Internal Candidates:
• Employees of the categories of Primary Level-Skilled, Primary Level-Semiskilled, and Primary Level-Unskilled.
• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) examination in six subjects with credit passes for four subjects, including Sinhala Tamil, English language (if necessary to the post), and Mathematics.
• Completed a minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in a permanent post under the above employee category.

Requirements:

• Age between 18 and 45 years. The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Good knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in using computer applications and debt collection software.

Salary:

The salary scale for this position is Rs. 27,910-10x300-7x350-12x600-12x710-49,080/-. The initial salary point is Rs. 27,910/-, with an additional Rs. 7,800/- (Cost of Living Allowance) and Rs. 5,000/- (Monthly Allowance).
