Qualification & Experience:
External Candidates:
- B.Sc Degree in Mechanical or Civil or Electrical Engineering from a University recognized by the U.G.C. of Sri Lanka and at least one (01) year post-qualifying experience in the relevant field in the public or reputed private sector organization. OR
- National Diploma in Technology (NDT) in the field of Mechanical or Civil or Electrical Engineering issued by a recognized institution and at least six (06) years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field in the public or reputed private sector organization.
Internal Candidates :
- A minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in the capacity of Technical Assistant (Maintenance) Grade I of the Sri Lanka Tea Board with a Certificate not below the N.V.Q. level 5 in the field of Mechanical or Civil or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.
Salary Scale :42,600 - 10 x 755 - 18 x 1,135 - 70,580
Age :18 years and more than 45 years
Selection Method :By a Structured Interview.

- Provident Fund: The selected candidates will be required to contribute 10% of their salary to the Employees’ Provident Fund. The Board will contribute 15%.
- The Board will contribute a further 3% of the Employee’s salary to the Employees’ Trust Fund.

The job title is Maintenance Officer Grade II (JM1).
The primary responsibilities include all maintenance activities related to buildings and vehicles of the Board, facilitating the duties of the Authorized Officer.
A B.Sc Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering from a U.G.C. recognized university with at least one year of post-qualifying experience in the relevant field, or
A National Diploma in Technology (NDT) in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering with at least six years of post-qualifying experience in the relevant field.
A minimum of five years of satisfactory service as a Technical Assistant (Maintenance) Grade I at the Sri Lanka Tea Board with a Certificate not below the N.V.Q. level 5 in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
The salary scale is JM 1-1 - 2016: Rs. [42,600 - 10 x 755 - 18 x 1,135 - 70,580] per month. The initial take-home salary per month would be approximately Rs. 65,400, including government-approved allowances.
